PAN FRIED TOFU

This recipe is the simplest and quickest I ever made. Hope your family will enjoy it!


PAN FRIED TOFU


Ingredients


1. 14oz extra firm organic tofu, pressed and sliced

3 TB soy sauce

1 TB olive oil

1 TB lemon juice

1 TB maple syrup or any sweetener

1/2 c. Cornstarch


Oil for frying


Topping: Sauté chopped onions, minced garlic, chopped tomatoes and chopped green onions. Add 2 tsp soy sauce, 1 tsp sweetener and about 1/4 c. water.


Instructions


- Drain and clean the tofu and slice in rectangular shape.


- In a medium size bowl, marinade the tofu with soy sauce, olive oil, lemon juice and sweetener for 15-30 minutes to absorb the flavor.


- Drain the liquid and add the cornstarch. Cover each tofu with cornstarch and deep fry until golden brown on each side.


- Serve and top with the sautéed vegetables.
